The Master of Science in Applied Health Behavior Research is available in two specializations to allow students to tailor the graduate program to their specific interests and career goals.

Health Education, Program Planning and Evaluation

This specialization is designed for individuals who want to develop, manage, and evaluate health programs in clinical or community settings; coursework focuses on health behavior theory, program planning, program evaluation, health education, and program management.

Health Behavior Research

This specialization is designed for individuals interested in developing theoretical knowledge and gaining practical research experience to pursue careers in health-related fields and/or manage research studies in clinical settings; coursework focuses on health behavior theory, research methodology, analytic methods, and research project management.
